A new function "Merge" allows the merging of duplicate persons and families. This requires good Gedcom knowledge, because the listed Gedcom code has to be understood well to avoid errors during merging. For details see the users guide.
At "Other Options" an additional group of 5 optional checks on multiple existing tags per data record for e.g. name, birth, christening, death, burial, partnership, divorce and other events/facts has been added.
At the main screen 2 additional options for handling numbers in given names are available. At the duplicate option screen 1 additional option to realize duplicates for date values is available.

Special characters of given names, surnames and location names may be deleted to enhance the searching of duplicates.

To protect your data and PC setup following folders for writing files are no longer accepted: folders starting with "C:\Programme\" or "C:\Program Files\" and the program folder.

If during a manually comparison of duplicates found by the program someone discovered, that this is not a real duplicate, this result can be stored in a file. During an additional analysis this pair will no longer be counted as a duplicate, which saves a lot of work. For details see the Users Guide.
2.0.0 - 25.04.2009: Further refinement of monitoring and possible correction during reading the ged file:
For surnames, 1st names and location name certain text phrases pointless for a comparison may be defined which will be eliminated, e.g. "NN", "N.N." or "Living".
Question marks as part of the text of 1st names, surnames and location names may be optionally suppressed during reading.
Beside the phonetic comparison method an exact 1:1 comparison can be done. During checking for duplicates the comparison of surnames and dates may be optionally deselected.
